WHO WE ARE

North American Music Festivals, founded in 1985, is nationally recognized for
offering first-class, professionally managed music festivals emphasizing
educational value and performance excellence for high school and junior
high/middle school instrumental and choral programs, whether highly developed
or in a building stage. Our festivals offer each performing ensemble the
opportunity to achieve performance excellence, take their program to the next
level and be recognized for their achievement in a positive manner. We take
great pride in offering superb performance venues, adjudicators/clinicians
of national stature, on-stage mini-clinics, affordable value-packed participation
packages and a great staff.

PRESIDENT
Clyde M. Barr is the President of North American Music Festivals and
Festival Coordinator. Mr. Barr is a music educator, having taught for
over sixteen years and a Past State President of the Pennsylvania Music
Educators Association. He brings with him the experience of having arranged
and coordinated over 120 Six Flags Music Festivals at seven locations throughout
the United States. Also in demand as a conductor, Mr. Barr annually directs the
European concert tour of the Sound of America Honor Band and Chorus.

DIRECTOR
Christopher A. McKee serves as the Festival Director for North American Music
Festivals. Previously, Mr. McKee was the Assistant Director from 1991-1999.
He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Marketing from Clarion University
of Pennsylvania and has toured Europe as a trumpeter and soloist with the Sound
of America Honor Band. Mr. McKee plays trumpet in the Zion Brass Quintet and is a member of the tenor section of his church choir.

SENIOR TRAVEL COORDINATOR
Debbie Nevins, our Senior Travel Coordinator, will
again serve as Coordinator for the Hersheypark, Virginia Beach and Washington, DC Festivals. Debbie has extensive experience in corporate travel management and meeting
planning in addition to her years with N.A.M.F. A seasoned Band and Choral
Booster, she is ready to assist you with your festival travel and arrangements.

TRAVEL COORDINATOR
Garry Saphore, a veteran of ten festival seasons with N.A.M.F., will again serve as Travel Coordinator for the New York City, Toronto and Virginia Beach Festivals. Garry came to us with 31 years of teaching experience.
He taught high school social studies and numerous Advanced Placement courses. He
was a saxophone player in high school band & jazz band, and more recently was a Band
Booster while his daughter participated in the same band. As a teacher, Garry
demonstrated many abilities which are now useful in serving the travel needs of our
participants.

TRAVEL COORDINATOR
Sharon Saphore, also with ten years’ experience at N.A.M.F., will again serve as Travel Coordinator for the Cedar Point, New York City and Virginia Beach Festivals.
She is a former teacher and also
has experience with sales and customer service. Sharon played clarinet while
in high school and was an avid "band parent" and youth advisor for youth
organizations. She is available to assist you with your travel needs. Her
meticulous attention to detail will ensure all your reservations will be
accurate and your trip smooth.

Carolyn Von Klau, serves as the financial expert for
N.A.M.F. Carolyn handles the accounting for your Festival participation and
with her professional, thorough touch, will make your statements accurate and
